Cicada - the things you say (dirty south remix - critical mass)
By: Miss Raquel bio

The name Cicada refers to more than one band. The first Cicada: Formed in 1992 in Auckland, New Zealand. They released 1 EP in 1994 and an album in 1997.

Though ostensibly a guitar-based rock band they use a wide range of technologies - both modern and 'outdated' - to achieve a distinctive and often ethereal sound.

The second Cicada since 2005 consists of members, Aaron Gilbert, Alex Payne and Heidrun Bjornsdttir.

The Things You Say (dirty south rmx) is grungy and dirty as it's rmx suggest with delicate vocals making it surreal; a hard combo to combine and yet be a peak-hour track in my opinion. Could be the rock-influence we're starting to see now in House.

I first heard this from Toronto's Joee Cons, who I say suits this track. Meaning, it's a track that's delicate, soft but has a fierce bite, so watch out.

The basslines are heavy enough to make my hips move and the ability to provoke my lips to "the things you say!"

Grab it, move to it and sing to it. You'll be happy you did!
