CD TRACK REVIEWS

Roger Sanchez - Again
By: Miss Raquel bio

I dislike track 1, Turn on the Music. Why? Been there, heard it…many times. I personally think this think is a filler track.

The other ten tracks fuckin’ rock! This CD is about life; everyday life. It’s different for Sanchez, not that I was a huge follower before oh his.

Come with Me displays Sanchez’s love and inspiration of Disco, House, Spoken Word, Pop, Hip Hop. Who else could pull something like this off? Hmmm, that’s right. No one!

This CD reeks of sex, yet has such emotion put into it, it comes across in an uplifting, spiritual way. It simply works.

Sanchez wrote and composed all tracks. And having Jacquita Perkins on vocals (who has an amazing voice) was a great choice considering her vocal range.

My favourite track right from the first listen is Again. All I can say is check it and you’ll see its different, original and any smart DJ would take the vocals and place them over whatever bassline they wanted and it would work. “Just get your shit and go!”

My other picks; Lost, Not Enough, I’m Yours and Don’t Tell Me It’s Over.

Now, I have to tell you Sanchez has one hell of a sexy voice! Damn!

This CD is not a mixed compilation. It’s an artist’s disc, maybe this is way it intrigued me? Showing creativity and hard work, after all it took Sanchez a while to complete.

The production is great all recorded at Island Life Studios in Ibiza, with a variety of vocalists such as GTO and Omar.

End result, this is Roger Sanchez’s journey into sex, love, work, keeping life in order…and it comes with soul.
