SCENE REVIEWS
Nightlife in Seoul, Korea
Review by: Jung Park
Tucked away in the far east of Korea is its capital growing city, Seoul. No lack of huge mega-production events held in convention halls, theatres and club parties held outdoors, on rooftops and on the streets.
Alcohol is served all night, even by the food peddlers on the streets (a common sight).
Clubs open between 8p.m. and 10p.m. and go until 6 or 7a.m.The heavy players in our industry are commonly seen here at the ‘superclubs’. Any household name like Roger Sanchez, Chus & Ceballos, Tiesto, Erick Morillo, Behrouz, Steve Porter, etc... has played Seoul, and they keep coming.
The two best House clubs are The Circle & M2. Both have big light shows, lasers and always are jam-packed on the weekends. For the more glitz & glamour The Circle would be the place to go.

Compared to Toronto, call M2: Koolhaus, and The Circle: The Guvernment. As for the music, the scene leans towards the more commercial Electro sounds. With the amount of people, parties, and the clubs this is a fun place to party; to go out and be treated with warmth.
As fun it is, the vibe is still in its true virgin years, with the crowd giving off a more 'live concert'
feel. They scream, jump around, and are plentiful, but as far as dancing this city still has ways to go.
For big light shows, huge projections, international DJs, and a thousand plus crowds, any big event by RISKEI and/or 02PRODUCTIONS is a sure bet, for they've hosted Godskitchen parties, and the events are indeed very well produced with complete glitz and glamour.

You can club all night, sit outdoors, drink and eat anywhere at anytime and watch all the stumbling drunk youths peddling by!
They do like to party here! Although on a personal note, they could really use a CZ here in Seoul, to keep the parties going past morning.
