Z-Trip - 'Nuf Said
Review By: Anne Cautious

Here we go! How can anyone even hope to review this event?
Spectacular?
Crazy?
Fabulous?

None of these adjectives even begins to cover the emotions I felt this night.

There were many events going on this particular long weekend but I was lucky enough to attend this one.

The line up for this event was stellar: Robb G , Lady Linzee, Zirca, Adam Addison played the Stone Lounge and Angus Robinson, KC Roberts,  DJ Z-Trip and Big League Chu in the main room.

I was in the main room at first and while I appreciated KC Roberts and the funk band, I just couldn’t get into it and it was quickly zapping any energy I had in me.  I felt the need for some something harder and made my way to the Stone Lounge where I had the chance to hear Lady Linzee who didn’t disappoint.  It was a little small and difficult to maneuver down there but I found my spot and got busy.

I was then told Z-Trip was on. I ran upstairs, pushed and elbowed my way through the crowd.  It was crazy in the main room! Absolutely off the wall! My friends suggested we head to the upper level where we had an amazing view of the crowd below.

What didn’t Z-Trip play is all I have to ask? What a mash-up and amazing mix of every song, genre and style. I heard Nirvana, Rage against The Machine, Marley, AC/DC, Peter Bjorn and John, Queen, Timberlake, Dawn Penn, Art of Noise, House of Pain…. The list goes on and sweet transitions between all of these tracks. Every time a new track would come on my friends and I would look at each other in astonishment, “Are ya kidding me?” The roar of the crowd just added to the ambiance. We were all in heaven.

Kudos to the ‘Make It Funky’ crew for this night happen. It was better than spectacular.
