SCENESTER SECRET NIGHTS

DJ Sumation @ White tiger West

White Tiger West w/DJ Sumation
By: Diana Lee

The scene on the balcony dancefloor was something I could only describe as a page out of an Asian Harlem.  Some of the hottest, hippest and hunkiest gay Asian men coming out and representing their style, culture and couture were seen.

Tokyo CyberMonster Fashion Dance Party Toronto,

By: Diana Lee

The darkness will play tricks on your eyes and in the shadows I could make out a few night creatures dancing hither and thither...

Jaxx Houze

JaXx Houze No. 4 – Enchanted Tribal Platoon
By: Diana Lee

Every time I enter a JaXx HouZe event, I never know how it will surprise me.  This time around, the bunker was filled with toys and goodies, causing a pungent venture to all the Soldiers who reported for dancing duty.

Chus Cebellos

Dancing Up a Storm of Sand and Surf w/Chus and Cebellos @ the Docks
By: Diana Lee

I’ve been to a few Chus and Cebellos events and every time without exception it’s like stepping onto an island paradise. A huge row of yellow floodlights backlit the dynamic duo and bathed the music worshippers on the dancefloor. The smooth sounds permeated your skin and senses making you feel as if you were lost on the shores of Ibiza dancing up a storm of sand and surf.  The décor was simplistic and minimal with leafy faux palm trees lining the stage. The Docks was a perfect venue for this party and offered you a little bit of everything in each room.

Foam Party

G'Day Toronto Surf's Up! Sydney Foam Party
By: Diana Lee

When the Australian's put on a party mate, they don't hold anything back--erecting a gigantic dome in the middle of Toronto’s Dundas Square into what looked like the Sydney Opera from the outside.

Once you defied a nipple hardening frigid Canadian winter's night and stepped into the lush interior of this Australian biosphere, the throbbing fun beats of DJ Jason Forbes along with a mesmerizing lightshow simulating a wall to wall Australian beach scene had you grooving and stripping off all your clothes to show your pasty white butt.

Jeffree Star

Jeffree Star, Look at Me!
By: Diana Lee

Ok bitches! Let's get this straight (or as straight as you want to be…) Jeffree Star is a "mannequin" not a drag queen!

To be honest, I was not sure what to expect from Jeffree Star, a self professed "mannequin" and Myspace fame whore who apologizes for nothing, who's message of self worth and the embracing of oneself in whatever form you choose no matter how outlandish and who's friends list on Myspace has become legion.

Pamela Anderson

Plunge to the Navel
By: Diana Lee

Highlights however included her fierceness herself: Miss Pamela Anderson in all her plastic glory wearing a plunge to the navel Dsquared2 number that almost had a wardrobe malfunction in the press room when a photographer accidentally stepped on the train of her fire engine red dress.

The body painting including a voluptuous model sporting nothing but a dress made of painted on diamond glitter was a real crowd pleaser and the last runway show featuring dozens and dozens of rose inspired frocks sashaying down a runway in the shape of the AIDS ribbon.  Simply breathtaking.
